About

“Reading was my escape and my comfort, my consolation, my stimulant of choice: reading for the pure pleasure of it, for the beautiful stillness that surrounds you when you hear an author’s words reverberating in your head.”
― Paul Auster, The Brooklyn Follies.

You can call me Jess or as I sometimes like to accidentally spell my name when I’m in a rush, Jesus (but don’t actually call me that). I’m a 26 year old obsessive reader working in the publishing industry that spends far too much time getting emotionally destroyed by fictional characters. Unfortunately, I’m not a superhero. I’m a Gryffindor with an INTJ personality. The genres I like to frequently read include: YA Fantasy, Dark Romance, and Crime/Thrillers. Throw some classics in for extra measure (especially if they’re from the Victorian/Romanticism era).

My ultimate goal in life is to become a published author. I’ve got four unfinished manuscripts so I’ll get back to you when I actually manage to finish one. You’ll either see me writing about murder or writing about magic, or a mix of both.

Let’s talk obsessions

TV Shows: Castle, The Good Wife, The Good Fight, Bates Motel, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad and House of Cards.

Films: The Godfather, Scarface, The Proposal, Titanic, Dirty Dancing and Peter’s Friends.

Books: Harry Potter series, In Death Series, Wild Justice, Sharp Objects, Gone Girl, and A Court of Mist and Fury. There’s probably about 50 thousand more but these are my precious ones.

Fictional Ladies: Eve Dallas, Kate Beckett, Nadia Stafford, Melody Giovanni Callahan, Norma Bates, Claire Underwood, Diana Prince and Alicia Florrick.

Fictional Bros: Finn Polmar, Will Gardner, Sirius Black and Rhysand.
